A response to a forward I received this morning about the supremacy of Conservatives

An anonymous relative with more conservative viewpoints than myself sent this to me today. The items in itals are what he sent me. The items in bold are my responses.

1.
If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn`t buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative sees people getting killed by guns, he doesn't care and hopes his stocks in GunsRUs improves.
If a liberal sees people getting killed by guns, he wants to develop policy to protect the innocent.

2.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for
everyone.

So stupid not worth a response.

3.
If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat
his enemy.
A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to make up evidence to make the threat seem more iminent and dangerous than it is.

If a liberal sees a foreign threat, he seeks out truth and acts based on fact, not fiction or God's word.

4.
If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a conservative is homosexual, he gets married to a woman only to embarass her and his kids by having affairs with men.

If a liberal is a homosexual, he wishes his sexuality wasn't politicized and that he could have equal rights protected under the law.

5.

If a black man or Hispanic are conservative, they see themselves as
independently successful.
Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government
protection.

I don't think all successful black and Hispanic men are conservatives. But maybe I voted for the wrong president.

6.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his
situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

So the unemployed conservatives aren't cashing their unemployment checks? Really? Somehow I doubt it.

7.
If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative talk show host lies and has no substance to his arguments he is considered heroic.

If a liberal talk show host lies and has no substance to his arguments, he doesn't have a talk show.

8.
If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
(Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)

If a conservative is a non-believer, he better not run for political office, because he will be shunned for having common sense.

If a liberal non-believer runs for office, he will be respected for his point of view towards religion.

9.
If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for
it, or may choose a job that provides it.

A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes shopping for it, can't find it because he's been denied due to preexisting medical conditions, looks for a job that provides it, isn't hired, and suddenly becomes an advocate of health care reform.

A liberal wants to help even this hypocrite because health care is a basic human right.

10.
If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is
embarrassed.

If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor
and then sues.

If a conservative sees someone slip and falls, and it is someone of a different color, he'll hesistate to help him up.

If a liberal slips and falls, he'll get up and clean the spill that caused him to become hurt in the first place.

11.
If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a
good laugh.

A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".

NOT THIS LIBERAL.

What exactly is a "foreign" religion anyway? Is the conservative who forwarded this message showing his stripes by implying that only some religions are "American"? I thought conservatives liked the Constitution, and last time I checked, there was a small item in it about religion.

Most of your responses are absurd, but this one is downright troubling. Perhaps someone once told you that Conservatives were Nazis and your political development stopped right there. This is akin to my drawing skills which are supended at first grade stick figure levels. The truth is you don't know what Conservatives are or what they stand for. For a start, you could read the Bill of Rights. One thing not in there: health care. But don't look down on our Founding Fathers for failing to include food, clothing, shelter and medicine as "rights". They just couldn't foresee a time when able bodied people would expect others to support them. And since "health care" is a "right", I'm sure you won't mind sending me money for health insurance, as I may choose to play video games all day while you work to pay taxes for my shit.

Dirk, what about the people who do work and are refused healthcare? What should they do?

Anonymous, there are lots of problems in our health care system and that's one of them. What you don't want to do is spend a trillion dollars we don't have to insure the 5% of the population who can't get or afford insurance. The politicians don't really want to improve health care so much as to expand the control government has in our most intimate affairs. Like global warming legislation, the plans are more about government expansion and creeping socialism than any underlying problem that is supposed to be addressed. If you look for the government to handle all your needs, we will all be poorer and less free. And I'm sure you all remember that Socialism isn't such a great thing for the Jews (see Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Nicaragua, Nazis).

Dirk: Israel has socialist elements, they have free medical care. So I don't think Israel is antisemtic.

Also, where did you get that 5 percent statistic? I'd like a source.

Scarpetta, I agree that Israel is not anti-Semitic. Israel is also poor compared to America, in part due to the socialist sytem they have unfortunately embraced. Israel is kind of a bad example anyway, as the nuances of being a tiny Jewish state make certain realities there not easily comparable to a big, secular country like the US. Socialist systems are typically bad for the Jews in that the governments tend see their Jews as a capitalist fifth column, assuming you're not in Israel.

As for the 5% figure, I didn't make that up. The reason this is shocking to you is that the mainstream, White House approved "news" organizations don't want you to know that or anything else that will endanger their agendas. Enjoy...

That article is problematic. Which census. Unemployment has increased dramatically in the last three years. Unless it is data from the last 2-3 years, then it's worthless. Secondly, what determines that some people could buy health care if they wanted it. You can't force an insurance company to cover you even if you want to pay for it. They accept or reject you. You don't bid for it.

I call bs.

Scarpetta, it's all true, despite what the White House and the major media are shoveling out. BTW Obama's "Wizard of Oz" style attacks on Fox News illustrate my point: they are terrified that people may hear something true, and with good reason.
